We are thrilled to announce that Lulwando Tukwayo has joined Women and Career as our new Executive Director, effective Janaury 2025. With her extensive background and experience across EdTech, Health, Research, ICT, and the private sector, Lulwando Tukwayo brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and passion for empowering citizens on the African Continent .

In this role, Lulwando will oversee the strategic direction of our organization, guiding our mission to advance African continent in sectors like Education and create meaningful change in the lives of people in the continent .

Lulwando comes to us with a proven track record and expertise that spans financial strategy, grants management, and operational excellence, with a proven track record of leading global initiatives funded by organizations such as USAID, SIDA, Mastercard Foundation, PEPFAR, and the National

Department of Health.

She  has successfully managed multimillion-dollar budgets, overseen complex grant portfolios and built strategic partnerships to deliver high-impact results. Her academic background includes an Honours Degree in Accounting Sciences, complemented by advanced certifications in project management, monitoring and evaluation, and professional coaching. 

We are confident that her leadership will drive Women and Career toward even greater success as we continue our organization’s mission in driving sustainable success.
